NEXTGEN named AWS Public Sector Partner and AWS Distributor
NEXTGEN Group (NEXTGEN), an enterprise technology distributor and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) Consulting Partner, has been selected as an AWS Public Sector Partner and AWS Distributor.
The AWS Distribution Program supports distributors like NEXTGEN to recruit, enable, and on-board Systems Integrators (SIs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), value-added resellers, digital marketing companies, infrastructure hosting companies, and Public Sector partners to offer AWS services to end customers as part of a solution.
As an AWS Public Sector Partner, NEXTGEN will work with AWS Partners focused on supporting government, healthcare, education, and the not-for-profit sectors across Australia and New Zealand.
The collaboration comes off the back of a growing relationship with AWS since May 2020 across NEXTGEN’s services businesses including Bang, a digital marketing agency and Optima, a software and cloud economics advisory business.
“COVID-19 accelerated cloud migration and transformation for the Public Sector and helped organisations to rapidly scale up services to keep citizens safe, while maintaining the highest levels of security, and reducing overhead costs. As a Public Sector Partner and AWS Distributor, we are focused on building out an incredibly capable team around AWS, and leveraging platforms, tools, and our services businesses to support partners and Public Sector customers to transform the way citizen services are delivered in the cloud,” said NEXTGEN Group Chief Executive Officer, John Walters.
“One of the first strategic areas we will prioritise under the new collaboration with AWS will be higher education. NEXTGEN has furthered its capability across the education sector and is focused on building a strong network of partners, software vendors, and technology providers to address research, student management, and business operations solutions. We aim to modernise, optimise, and leverage the latest cloud technologies to help our partners and customers to continue to innovate and build resiliency in order to bounce back from disruptions as a result of the pandemic,” Walters concluded.
“AWS appointing NEXTGEN as a Public Sector Partner is excellent news for Higher Education Services (HES) and the higher education sector as both AWS and NEXTGEN are considered key strategic partners. HES is developing its cloud strategy and aims to play a key role in the digital transformation of the sector and wants to surround itself with an ecosystem of best of breed partnerships to drive innovation, cost optimisation and deliver better outcomes for its students, researchers and staff.” Said Dr Andrew Trnacek Chief Executive Officer, HES.
“With public sector organizations in Australia and New Zealand accelerating the way they serve citizens, using the cloud to achieve scientific breakthroughs and put more of their time and resources into their core mission, now more than ever, we need partners to support that transformation. NEXTGEN Group has a history of working closely with AWS and its partners to deliver customer outcomes. Their approach is unique and exciting for both AWS and our channel partners and we are pleased to deepen our collaboration by selecting them as a Public Sector Distribution Partner across Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to working with NEXTGEN and their partners to create a future where adaptability, scalability, reliability, security, and speed are in the forefront of citizen service delivery,” said Iain Rouse, AWS Public Sector Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand.
