Leadership insights from our Chairman

Andrew Petering, NEXTGEN's Chairman since the company's inception in 2011, spent the first 25 years of his career in Investment Banking and Private Equity. For the last five years Andrew has been CEO of Nexus Hospitals, a national group of surgical hospitals which he helped to establish in 2013 and has since lead a rapid growth strategy via M&A activity. He also facilitated the recent introduction of a strategic investor, QIC, to underpin future growth.

Recently profiled in CEO Magazine, Andrew talks about the transformative power of internal culture, what he characterises as a secret weapon and a key feature in his strategic guidance of both Nexus and NEXTGEN.

NEXTGEN puts this people-driven philosophy into practice every day propagating the culture of collaboration and support that gives our staff the ability to drive better outcomes across the channel. Andrew’s strategic leadership has helped NEXTGEN develop into a dominant, trusted and respected brand across the ANZ market and will stand us in good stead for our expansion into Asia in 2021.
